I'm not a hater nor a proponent of draw reins. They simply shouldn't be used in a sales photo. Or in this case, shown being used on at least 3 separate occasions and then claim your that the horse is classically trained. I don't think so! And what exactly does exhibition horse mean? I assume it does tricks like the Spanish Walk. The pictures in this ad do not match the claims in the text. Also, please note in the comments what you think the movement in that last picture might be. I'm thinking it's leg yield away from the wall. An odd choice for an ad.

  1. Egads! I don't get pics like this, showing a horse in walk or even halted in all kinds of gadgets. Not that I think it makes for a great trot or canter picture, but surely they could have gotten on without gadgets, taken a few steps and snapped a pic???? Or is the horse that inverted without them. I think the horse is walking in a shoulder fore ish position, possibly on purpose, or possibly just flexed strongly to the right to keep him from bracing. IMHO, anything in extra reins screams 'project!', and better be cheap. :) orono, who clearly has too much time on her hands today lol.
